So over this past week we have had rain, snow, sleet, ice, blue skies, and then yesterday 57 degrees. That was just in Johnstown. Look around the country, Texas had crazy ice storms. Who would‘ve ever imagined? No one right, and many are dealing with the consequences of that unknown. We can plan, we can listen to the weather forecasts, but the bottom line is this; we don't control the weather.
In the same aspect we can’t control the future. We don’t know what tomorrow holds. Many of us have faced that reality this past year with Covid and the shutdowns. It has truly become a source of frustration because we want to get back to “normalcy.” But what truly is that? Thinking we are in control and can make plans? 5 year plans, 10 year plans, vacation plans. Our own plans.
One of the greatest things I have learned through all this is only God knows those plans. That fact alone is what brings me peace each day. Waking up each morning knowing He is still on the throne and His mercies are new every morning.
“The faithful love of the Lord never ends! His mercies never cease. Great is his faithfulness; his mercies begin afresh each morning.”
